DEBATE COMPETITION (Department of Management Studies), BMIET
HELD ON SEP 01, 2016.
Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalled. The Debate competition for Management students (BBA & MBA) at BMIET was held on September 01, 2016.The format of the debate was based on the burning aspects of our country covering various phases of society.
Students debated on the topics like:

Prenatal Gender Determination, should it be allowed?

Poor Performance in RIO Olympics, Responsibility of Sports Authorities. Agree/Disagree.

Should we make Hindi or English as our National Language?
The competition was adjudged by Ms. Divya (Associatet Professor, MBA Deptt.) and Ms. Nidhi Garg (Assistant Professor, MBA Deptt.). The entire event was organised by Ms. Kanika (Assistant Professor, MBA Deptt.) under the guidance of Ms. Monisha (Head of Department, MBA).
It was clearly very evident that students were well prepared and they used various skills like Factual information, comprehension, delivery, definition, and irony etc. to convince the audience. The participants, armed with statistics and data made their arguments more emphatic with their righteous facial expressions, body movement and gestures. All the students exhibited great oratorical skills but finally four out of the strength of 25 participants, were awarded with Certificates and Medals. The Winners were:
